Molchner Stolln at Pobershau

The models for these new creations in the form of candle arches are the mining towns of Seiffen, Pobershau, Marienberg, Annaberg, Schneeberg and Freiberg. These contemporary witnesses of mining are intended to document the work of the miners.

Ganghäuer, cartmen, huntstößer and reelmen express the hard work of the underground work. The Christmas version of the Pobershau arch shows the present with the wonderful Göpel pyramid of the town, including the ore bucket mining.

The colourful, busy hustle and bustle of the people and the passing mining brotherhood of Pobershau concludes the arch in its entirety.

This arch is dedicated to the Dörnthal local painter Max Christoph and his wife Dorle, to whom I owe a lot and who paved my way to becoming an artisan.
