These small candle arches are ideal for a gift, as a small souvenir or as a memento of a lovely visit to Seiffen.

With motifs of the Seiffen church or a small forest house, decorated with Santa Claus or carolers and with indirect lighting of the sky, our small arches offer a magical sight in every living room.

On the occasion of our 20th company anniversary (July 1st, 1990-July 1st, 2010), this small Seiffen candle arch, limited to 500 pieces, was created based on a template by Max Schanz, the former director of the toymaking school in Seiffen and the master wood turner Arthur Stiel from Seiffen, and was further developed by me.

Deliberately kept in the typical tones of ochre and brown, the toymaker Hiemann, wearing a blue work coat, pushes his cart from Seiffen to Leipzig in front of the building and is an unmistakable reminder of the connections between yesterday and today, without which there can be no tomorrow.

In the middle of the Seiffen winter landscape with a Christmas depiction and the constellation of the starry sky on Christmas Eve, my parents’ house was created on the lower left side of the picture.

In just four months, the so-called Köhler-Mienel-Häusel was rebuilt and expanded in 1961, with great effort and sacrifice on the part of my parents (mother Irene Kolbe and father Fritz Kolbe). I would like to create a living memorial to my parents with this loving arch.

The Seiffen toymaker Hiemann points to a significant event for the spread of Seiffen toys on the world market. He was the first to visit the Leipzig Fair in 1699 and transported his turned goods to Leipzig on foot on a trestle.
